Long-term accompaniment for startup organizations
In fast-changing conditions, I help startup organizations rebuild strategy, structure, and operating rhythm.

Shen Laoban Sean | Executive coach / AI Native organization advisor / Community long-termist
I work closely with founders and core teams to understand people, organizations, and action in the AI era. My work usually happens in four fields: long-term accompaniment for startup organizations, leadership development for founders and core teams, AI Native transformation and organizational alignment, and community, network, and long-term relationship building. Technology can restructure efficiency, but people still decide an organization's fate.
What I Do
Often, an organization does not lack methods. It has not yet truly seen the problem. I work mainly in four fields.
In fast-changing conditions, I help startup organizations rebuild strategy, structure, and operating rhythm.
I help founders and core teams build honest feedback, shared language, and long-term collaboration capability.
I push AI into real business, organizational, and decision-making processes, while building new AI Native consensus and ways of action.
I help communities and networks build long-term relationships, public participation, and narratives that can keep growing.
For Founders / Teams
AI has entered the company, but the organization has not truly changed.
The founder is moving fast, while the team has not yet formed a shared language.
The organization is growing, but collaboration and rhythm are starting to slip.
The team is busier than ever, yet finds it harder to really think.
The organization wants to build long-term culture and community capability.
Process
I usually do not begin by giving answers. Before making quick judgments, I prefer to enter the real field and find the real problem together.
About Sean
I have come to see that many organizational problems are not only strategic problems. They often begin when real connection between people has been lost.
I am Shen Yihan from Hangzhou. Some people call me “Village Chief.” I spent 17 years living and working in Liangzhu Culture Village and launched a community public-interest foundation. I was also employee No. 32 at Hupan University, where I went through a shift from “doing things” to “understanding people.”
I wrote Into Dream Town and Cultural Field: From Vanke to Alibaba. Today I often move between China and Japan, accompanying and observing the future of AI and people, organizations, and communities. I love rowing, mountaineering, writing, and building in public.
Works / Proof
Starting from Liangzhu Culture Village, this book records the practice of a generation of Chinese community idealists.
An observation of organizational culture, space, and people, and an early source of how I understand organizational fields.
Former assistant to the ARF president and member of the promotion committee, supporting the growth of grassroots rowing clubs in China.
Founder and second-term board chair, practicing public participation, trust building, and long-term relationships in a real community.
A confirmation from the public-interest field, and a reminder of what long-termism asks of a person.
ICF coaching certification, LCP leadership certification, and 2000+ hours of executive coaching practice.
MBA industry mentor, including courses such as “Product Thinking in the AI Era.”
As a coaching partner, I accompany AI Native founders as they build organizational capability in rapid change.
In Japan, I observe Chinese AI companies going global and record emerging cultural, organizational, and commercial markets.
Writing
These writings are also how I understand the world beyond the field. They come from Obsidian notes, public essays, coaching practice, and Japan observation.
Consult Agent
Sean Agent
Hi, I’m Sean’s AI agent 👋
This is the first consultation entry for Sean’s work. Bring a real question here first: why AI has not entered the organization, why the founder and core team stay misaligned, or whether this is the right moment to speak with Sean directly.
Contact
Many collaborations do not begin with a polished brief. They begin with one honest conversation. Come with the real question: AI transformation, organizational collaboration, founder pressure, team slowdown, or long-term community work.
